- Start from the concepts, so the procedures make sense instead of being memorized.
- Find and fix prerequisite gaps — often the real reason a topic feels impossible.
- Work through representative problems together, thinking out loud.
- Show more than one method when a second way makes the idea clearer.
- Build toward the student solving problems independently.
